Lumbar Pack ~ Yellow/Silver
This is the 4th or 5th version of the Lumbar Pack. The idea of the Lumbar Pack was to make a classic hiking waist pack. Something big enough to carry everything you need for a longer day hike, but it sits on your waist, making you more mobile and without a sweaty back. Of course it’s great to wear cross body in less athletic situations too. In this version I added an optional 2nd strap that can go under your opposite arm to secure the bag to your back when moving fast and wearing it cross body. Super useful on a bike. Some of the other new additions to this version are a reflective strip on the front. This is nice for a little night visibility and the little pop is really fun when you catch it with a head lamp in the woods. I also changed the front compression straps to adjustable and replaceable shock cord. The stretch of the shock cord makes it way easier to stuff extra layers or a sit pad to the outside of the bag without taking it off to adjust straps. Some daisy chain was added to both sides on the front too, it works well for clipping on some climbing shoes or anything light you want quick access to and don’t feel like opening up the bag to put away. Hopefully this saves a little wear on the zippers too. Zippers were upgraded to #8 YKK and strings replace the zipper tabs. This saves weight and makes it easier to open the main pocket under the storm flap. The body shape has also been rounded out a little for looks and the strap ergonomics were adjusted to sit more securely on the hips while running.
Removable 3rd point cross body strap for extra security while wearing cross body available HERE
Optional padded insert for keeping cameras and other fragile things safe available HERE
